We've decided to give you a translation of the full conclusion to the article in Thermik Magazine 3/2015 - we couldn't have stated it any better ourselves.
"Conclusion:
The Summit XC3 was built to be a racer, and can carry the designation as such with pride. Its flat turns makes it into a veritable thermalling demon, and its well-balanced and very stable glide performance allows uncompromising glides even in turbulent conditions. Add to that a sensational speed range, which to our knowledge is hitherto unseen in the B class.
UP and designer Frantisek Pavlousek should be proud to have managed to build an EN B wing with such performance figures. The wing is clearly and unequivocally designed to perform, be it in Online contests or in direct comparison during XC competitions. At the same time, the handling and general flying sensation is such that no pilot should ever feel bored even going for a quick flight from the local site - this wing is simply FUN to fly. The Summit XC3 posseses near-perfect flying characteristics when laden from around halfway through the weight range and up to fully laden, but we recommend loading it around midway. This leaves some space for dynamic-loving pilots to choose a smaller size, so that they may get the full value out of the very dynamic and entertaining handling."
So there you have it; the Summit XC3 in a few simple words - not a hint about the wing being too much of a handful anywhere (and frankly we would have been surprised if they had found it to be - we think it is a baby to fly) In fact they did try big 60+% asymmetrical collapses and found these to be very easy to manage, just as they should be in an EN B wing. So please try it out for yourself if you're in the market for an EN B wing with "hitherto unseen performance figures"! (aren't most of us??).
