On Saturday, November 15. 2014 you may rock up at the CineMaxx Munich to meet UP team pilot Stefan "Boxi" Bocks and watch his amazing film "Paragliding through Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan".
Boxi prepared for his journey for almost a year, wanted to do it with a friend but ended up going all of the 1000km from Dushanbe in Tajikistan, through the Tian Shan and the Pamirs and on to the Issyk Kül in Kyrgyzstan all by himself. On the way he met and interacted with the local farmers and herders, slept in their yurts and drank their fermented mare's milk - with the expected effect on his intestinal system... The film was recorded on two GoPro cameras, much of it "under cover", and is a mindboggling account of an impressive modern-day adventure, taking but 14 days to reach his destination.
